Disney Channel Re-Design Project

This is the final prototype we presented to the Disney Channel executives during the design thinking class at Notre Dame.

These images are of the powerpoint we presented to the Disney Channel stakeholders. Our project was called "Disney Play". Basically, it is a device that families would purchase and it would be similar to an Apple TV device. Each family member would have his/her own account and the content would be tailored to his/her own interests. The Disney channel executives have been seeing a trend in the decline of viewership and a big rise of Youtube watching. What we found in our ethnographic research was that yes, family's have been ditching the Disney Channel. They said the shows are not funny and it is just hours of mindless silly stuff. The kids want more variety and content tailored to their own interests. They want to learn something. That is why we came up with the prototype called Disney Play!
